Hello Grade Fives!
Imagine that we decide to use technology for just one purpose in our classroom (e.g. learning to type, visualizations during math lessons, math practice, access to lessons or worksheets, research, presenting your learning using ppt or voicethread etc). I would like you to tell me which purpose you would want us to keep using and explain why. Think about which ‘purpose’ is most helpful to your own learning.

I think that we should use visual math lessons, because it is esys to see it insted of explaning it

If we could only use technolegy for one thing in the classroom, I would pick math lessons.I would pick this one because it helps put the picture in my head, MUCH more effectively. Anouther reason why I would pick this one is because when you get the picture in your head, you think about it more clearly. When you think about it more clearly, you can think on your own better, and you can think 'out-side of the box.' If we could only use the technology for oly one thing, I would choose masth lessons.

If we could only use technolegy for one thing in the classrooom I would pick ppt because you can visualize in pictures and you can see it in words. Another reason is that it is fun and that helps me want to do it. It also helps me think about it with a open mind because I have had alot of experence with ppt and that helps me.

bI would like to have science because I love science. It so much fun. If i could I would just do science all my life.
I would like to use technology for math lesson. The reason is because the computer is easier to learn from in some places. Like when we were beginning volume the lesson helped me understand.

If i did really have to choose i would keep it for visualizations for math lessons. I would keep it for that reason because it helps me make sense of what were doing and its nice to kind of see what your suppossed to be doing before you do it. I would keep it for visualizations during math lessons.

I think that the best part is the learn alberta lessons they are great so I think I like to use the computer for math. (I do not like reveiewing the mathe quiz after the quiz it makes me feel gulty that I know that I got something wrong.)The reasion that I think I like using this is some times you might have not exacily explained all the things we kneed to know and the computer will explain it really helps.
Dear mrs.French I think using technology for one thing is great because you use less energy and less electricit.
I think that we should use technology for ppt and voicethread because it would be a lot easier then writing on paper and then we are not using so much paper and we are not cutting down so many trees.With all the other stuff we can write that on the board and then do the answers on the sheet of paper we are using.I think saving the Earth is a very important thing because then we could not be a live right now and like they say reduce reuse recycle.

I think it would have to be the day boodk page. because you can do everything else on whiteboard. I also like to have the day book page because we don't have to come up and ask what to do every day. I think it is most helpful because we can look up at the board and now what to do instead of asking and slacking on the work.

I am truly thankful for technology, because it helps my understanding.
I think that the most usually activity that helps me in my work is the Math revew and the Revewing our tests. Sometimes I feal like its a waste of time, but then if we did'nt I would probibly only get a few right, and maby nun so I'm glad we revew the tests.For the math revew. If we did'nt revew the the math I would proble fall and die. It really helps me a lot. It makes me feel more comforble and easy. I am truly thankful for technology, because it helps my understanding.

I want to keep doing ppt and voicethread. The reason is I like the ppt, and voicethread is I love that sort of things. I had never did one since grade three. I want to learn more about ppt and voicethread.

I think tec is most inportent for math and reasherch . I think math so we can visulise the way how to do it.Reasherch so we can learn about like foods from China or some thing. that is why i like tec. Oh i also like tec because it is easir in life then writing every thing out....

I think that technoligy would be most usful for lesons and worksheets, Because it will alow us to learn and reading and writing ar part of the work sheets and that is teaching us three things 1. learning what we need for grd.5, 2. how to read, 3. how to write. So I think that would be the most usful to us in school.

I think ppt is because you get to learn about another cuuntry, culture and language. The ppt lets you learn and have fun at the same time! It helps by teaching me things I never even heard of yet.

here is what i would like if we could have 1 tecnoligy in the class. it would be a computer because mostly all the learning stuff is on the computure.

I really want to keep using computers because. I think it would be hard to draw a power point by hand. And if you wanted sound you would have to make the sound yourself. I really would not like having to bring my guitar to school every time we did a power point. And I would have to really practice hard and it is very difficult.

If technology could only be used for one purpose I think that I would choose to use it for story typing and presentations(Power points, Voice threads, Microsoft Office word). I think that I would choose presentations and and Microsoft Office Word because I absolutly love using Microsoft Office Power Point.Or writing storys on Mirosoft Office Word. Plus Voice threads look so fun.

I would like to keep using math lesons , typing, and storys. i wont to keep them because they are usefull and help us lern. and i have fun typing storys.
Good afternoon Mrs. French. How are you? I am great but my energy is gone because we were running in P.E.!
My favorite purpose of the smartboad. First, my favorite subject to use with the smartboard is mathematics. Second, I pick that subject because the math sites that we can use with the smartboard are wonderful. Third, and without the smartboard you (Mrs, French) would have to show everyone of us individually the website. That would take way too long and by the time you would have shown us the website it would be time to go home! But with the smartboard everyone can see it and we could be able to do our work! Also I would choose math because the math sites help ALOT! It would help way more than you going up to the chalkboard and doing a whole bunch of questions for us. My favorite subject on the smartoard. :)

Dear Mrs.French if we could only use technology for one thing in the classroom, I would choose: math lessons. Why would i pick math lessons? I would choose this because with the math lesson it shows pictures and explains it alot easier, and it also helps get a clear picture.
